Use for toppings, spreads, dips, and marinades. The paste is very tasty and a little spicy.

Ingredients

  • Organic red peppers
  • Tomatoes, fresh or dried tomatoes reconstituted in water
  • Garlic*
  • Onion*
  • Turmeric*
  • Pasilla chili pepper
  • Chili powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Red dulce flakes or powder
  • Paprika
  • Safflower petals
  • lemon
  • Purified water

* Use fresh or dried

Instructions

  1. Cut 1–1.5 cups of organic red peppers.
  2. Add tomatoes. If using dried tomatoes, soak in water and piece out.
  3. Add finely chopped garlic, onion, and turmeric (or dried powder).
  4. Add pasilla chili pepper. Remove stem and seeds first and chop into small pieces.
  5. Add chili powder, red dulce flakes or powder, paprika, safflower petals, and a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  6. Add 1 TBSP of lemon juice.
  7. Put 1/8 cup of purified water into a food processor.
  8. Add the mixture and blend well.
